Job Title: Scrub-Tech
Location: ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $46 – $49/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Scrub-Tech for a temporary assignment in ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Scrub-Tech:
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures by maintaining sterile technique, handling instruments and supplies, retracting tissue, supporting patient positioning, and assisting with surgical workflow.
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for scheduled procedures while maintaining a safe and organized surgical environment.
• Support perioperative patient care by assisting with patient transport, positioning, specimen management, documentation processes, and postoperative preparation activities.
• Participate in on-call coverage and be prepared to scrub urgent or emergent procedures within required response times.
• Maintain current BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Apply strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures.
• Respond to call coverage requirements within required timeframes.
• Maintain current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
