Job Title: SLP
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $65 – $70/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a SLP for a temporary assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a SLP:
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation (effective November 1, 2025)
• Obtain and maintain an active State of Hawaii license prior to start of assignment
• Demonstrate acute care experience with independent and proficient completion of Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) Studies in radiology without supervision by a radiologist
• Perform general job duties within a Rehab in Acute and SNF facility setting
• Utilize Meditech computerized documentation for inpatient care and paper and pencil documentation for outpatient care
• Complete MBS studies independently with a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in SNF or Rehab hospital settings
• Maintain current BLS certification and Hawaii rehab licensure in the appropriate discipline
• Work a generally set schedule of 5 days per week, likely including 1 weekend day
• Float to other facilities as needed depending on census and staffing
• Adhere to dress code requirements (scrubs or per facility dress code policy and procedure)
• Complete EMR documentation training and orientation to the rehab area and expectations
• May provide referrals for outpatient care as needed
• Arrive the Thursday before the assignment start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday
