Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a SLP for a permanent assignment in Mauston, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities for a SLP:
• Perform direct patient care: assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Complete patient documentation, including initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge reports
• Contact insurance companies regarding benefits
• Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions
• Provide education to staff, including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workers, regarding results and recommendations following evaluations and providing guidance based on the most up-to-date research
• Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff
• Collaborate with healthcare providers in order to provide patient-centered treatment
• Clean treatment rooms following sessions
• Provide reminder calls to patients
• Aid patients and families in navigating the hospital
• Perform other duties as requested
• Maintain a valid, current driver’s license
• Maintain BLS certification
• Demonstrate intermediate proficiency with computers
• Apply strong assessment, planning, quantitative, and analytical skills
• Utilize exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in all responsibilities
