Job Title: Gastroenterologist
Location: Bellingham, Washington
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $383 – $412/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Gastroenterologist for a temporary assignment in Bellingham, Washington. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Gastroenterologist:
• Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services in both clinic and hospital settings
• Perform 24-hour call/hospitalist shifts for weekday and weekend coverage
• Conduct rounding and admissions for inpatient patients (adult population, 18+)
• Perform gastroenterology procedures including ERCP (required)
• Perform outpatient endoscopy procedures at the outpatient endoscopy center
• Manage clinic patients with an average of 16 patients per day
• Manage outpatient endoscopy center patients averaging 14-16 procedures per day
• Provide consults as needed for inpatient and outpatient cases
• Maintain board certification in Gastroenterology
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Utilize Epic EMR and Provation GI software for documentation and charting
• Maintain a minimum of 50 successful ERCP procedures within the past 2 years to meet maintenance criteria
• Provide documentation of gastroenterology services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months
• Collaborate with other GI physicians who are part of the practice
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements
