Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: Fountain Valley, California
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 20-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $144 – $156/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Physician Assistant (PA) for a temporary assignment in Fountain Valley, California. These positions are 20-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Physician Assistant (PA):
• Support a Gynecologic Oncologist in a small, independent team environment
• Perform surgical first assist duties for gynecologic oncology surgeries
• Conduct inpatient rounds as part of daily responsibilities
• Provide outpatient clinic support
• Work a 5×8 schedule, Monday through Friday with no call required
• Operate independently with minimal supervision in a small team setting
• Bring a minimum of 2-3 years of experience; new graduates will not be considered
• Demonstrate surgical gynecologic oncology experience; candidates with clinic-only gynecologic oncology experience may also be considered
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation
• Complete required non-billable computer modules (approximately 4 hours); any additional time spent on modules is billable
• Maintain no malpractice claims or background issues to avoid delays in the privileging process
• Comply with flu vaccine requirements (medical/religious exemptions only)
