Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: La Jolla, California
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $126 – $136/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Physician Assistant (PA) for a temporary assignment in La Jolla, California. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Physician Assistant (PA):
• Round on inpatient Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) patients alongside 4 other Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) per day
• Manage an average patient census of 10-12 patients per day
• Perform care coordination, admissions, and discharges for BMT patients
• Provide care for patients experiencing relapse after transplant
• Manage malignant hematology cases and patients with common comorbidities
• Work 12-hour day shifts (0700-1930) on a unit that operates 7 days per week, Monday through Sunday
• Maintain current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
• Maintain a valid California (CA) state license
• Apply extensive knowledge of hematological blood cancers and cellular transplant therapies
• Demonstrate BMT experience or extensive inpatient Hematology/Oncology experience
• Complete credentialing requirements within the 45-60 day credentialing timeframe
• Submit full work history in chronological order, education including residency/fellowship, active license and certifications, and board certification if applicable
• Provide references, notable achievements, research, publications, and professional society affiliations as preferred submission materials
