Job Title: Gastroenterologist
Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 7:30AM – 5:30PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $370 – $398/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Gastroenterologist for a temporary assignment in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Gastroenterologist:
• Provide Gastroenterology specialty coverage in a hospital setting
• Work scheduled in-hospital shifts: Friday 12–5pm, Saturday through Thursday 7am–5pm, with final Friday 7am–12pm
• Provide on-call coverage during the following periods: Friday 5pm–7am, Saturday 5pm–7am, Sunday 5pm–7am, and Thursday 5pm–7am
• Perform gastrointestinal procedures including ERCP (preferred); EUS not required
• Manage consults and procedures for adult patient population (ages 18+)
• Collaborate with APP support staff available Monday through Friday, approximately 8am–3/4pm, for consult assistance
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for all clinical documentation
• Maintain Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology
• Maintain active Pennsylvania state medical license (or IMLC/LOQ)
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience
• Complete full credentialing compliance requirements prior to start date
• Work the full assigned coverage block as scheduled
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
