Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Schedule: 12:00AM – 12:00AM x 2
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $211 – $228/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OB for a temporary assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a OB:
• Work 6p-6a shifts, 7 days a week, with preference for at least 7-day stretches at a time or weekends only
• Remain in-house for all call duties; utilize provided call room as needed
• Cover the emergency room, floor, triage visits, and calls throughout entire shift
• Answer first calls from antepartum floor service
• Assist with cesarean deliveries
• Serve as first call for ED consults
• Assist with gynecologic surgery
• Manage clinical volume of approximately 3-5 deliveries per day and 5 GYN emergencies per week
• Collaborate with a team including FP residents, OB/GYN residents, medical students, CNMs, and FP physicians who perform OB/GYN
• Coordinate with MFM and GYN Oncology available 24/7 for consultative support
• Provide care for high-risk obstetric cases including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, preterm labor, and fetal anomalies
• Manage postpartum care, abnormal uterine bleeding, and family planning/contraceptive counseling
• Perform procedures including C-sections, vaginal deliveries, IUD insertion/removal, Pap smears, ultrasound (OB and GYN)
• Support regional transfer center functions for rural hospitals and regional trauma center operations
• Maintain board certification or board eligibility (within 2 years)
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and DEA certifications
• Maintain valid state licensure (IMLC accepted)
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirements (medical/religious exemptions only)
