Job Title: Oncologist
Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $395 – $426/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Oncologist for a temporary assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Oncologist:
• Provide hematology/medical oncology services in an outpatient setting serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Manage an average of 12–16 patients per day
• Perform Bone Marrow Biopsy procedures
• Provide infusion and medical oncology/hematology services
• Work independently in a solo provider capacity
• Maintain hospital and clinic privileges (located within the same building)
• Utilize Epic (EMR) for clinical documentation and charting
• Maintain current and valid state licensure prior to start date
• Maintain current DEA registration for the applicable state
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, or PALS certification (PALS preferred)
• Provide documentation of 24 months of hematology/medical oncology services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested (waived for applicants who completed training within the previous year)
• Complete 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements (required, no exemptions)
