Job Title: MED SURG PEDS
Location: ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $61 – $66/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED SURG PEDS for a temporary assignment in ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED SURG PEDS:
• Provide registered nurse (RN) care for adult patients with occasional pediatric patients on the general Med/Surg unit
• Coordinate exceptional patient care for adult and pediatric patients in medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric settings
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make critical decisions regarding patient care
• Collaborate with Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor during shift
• Lead and work with a multidisciplinary team to meet the unique needs of a diverse patient population
• Provide holistic care addressing patients’ age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Maintain current Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure
• Maintain current BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications
• Maintain flu shot compliance as required (no exceptions)
• Utilize Meditech system for documentation (preferred)
• Require a minimum of 3 years of acute care experience
• Ensure all required credentials are uploaded five business days before start date
• Work night shift with ability to care for both adult and occasional pediatric patients
• Maintain reliable personal transportation as public transportation is not available in the area
