Job Title: MED SURG PEDS
Location: ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont
Schedule: 4:00PM – 4:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $59 – $63/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED SURG PEDS for a temporary assignment in ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED SURG PEDS:
• Coordinate and deliver exceptional patient care for a diverse adult Med/Surg patient population, with occasional pediatric patients
• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Meet the physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs of patients across the lifespan
• Collaborate with providers, nursing leadership, and support staff to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality care
• Work a flex day/night rotation on 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Serve as Charge RN when needed
• Practice a broad scope of care including medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and occasional pediatric care
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Maintain a current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License
• Comply with flu vaccination requirement
• Ensure all required credentials are uploaded at least five business days prior to start date
• Begin assignment on designated Wednesday start dates
• Utilize Meditech system for documentation (experience preferred)
• Provide a minimum of 3 years of recent acute care RN experience
