Job Title: Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP)
Location: Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin
Schedule: 2:00PM – 10:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $135 – $146/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):
• Work Monday-Friday, 8a-5p with potential call rotation in a cardiothoracic surgery department
• Examine patients, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans
• Perform technical, clinical, and surgical procedures as a NP/PA supporting surgeons, PA-Cs, and RNs
• Document patient progress and surgical care using Epic EMR system
• Perform endoscopic saphenous vein harvests and radial artery harvests
• Place and remove chest tubes and catheters
• Intubate and extubate patients as required
• Place and remove central lines and arterial lines
• Serve as a first-assist in CVOR specific to cardiac surgery
• Utilize robotic surgical equipment; robotic lung experience is a plus but not required
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Maintain valid state licensure and active DEA registration
• Maintain board certification as required
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
