Job Title: CNA
Location: Bangor, Maine
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $29 – $32/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a CNA for a temporary assignment in Bangor, Maine. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a CNA:
• Assist staff members with and contribute to the implementation of the total resident/patient plan of care, including activities of daily living (eating, dressing, personal care, and toileting)
• Assist with all resident/patient routine activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, ambulating, and skin care
• Demonstrate effective listening skills to provide support for resident/patient needs
• Take initial vital signs and provide weights to nursing staff in a timely manner
• Report changes in vital signs or measurements promptly to the Supervisor/Charge Nurse
• Follow procedures for Universal Precautions at all times
• Monitor and promptly record resident/patient intake and output in accordance with unit standards or physician orders
• Maintain confidentiality of resident/patient related issues and support resident/patient rights
• Maintain a productive working relationship with healthcare team members
• Serve as a team player, remaining courteous, diplomatic, and tactful when interacting with others
• Provide additional care as directed by the RN/LPN
• Assist with orientation of patient/resident/family to unit and services
• Deliver patient/resident care promptly and accurately as directed by the RN/LPN and in accordance with the plan of care
• Demonstrate the ability to empathize with residents, patients, and families
• Remain objective in difficult circumstances, including interactions with demanding residents and patients
• Demonstrate flexibility when needed
• Seek help and assist in developing solutions for problems
• Maintain an active Maine C.N.A. License
• Support education and recreation activities as part of the total resident/patient plan of care
