Job Title: CNA
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Schedule: 7:00AM – 3:00PM x 5
Term: 6-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $44 – $47/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a CNA for a temporary assignment in Honolulu, Hawaii. These positions are 6-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a CNA:
• Observe and report on a variety of physical and/or mental symptoms and conditions for a caseload of patients
• Implement care and/or treatment procedures for assigned patients
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic nursing skills, including taking vital signs, measuring output, and recognition of abnormal signs and symptoms
• Provide first aid as needed
• Uphold patient rights and maintain universal precautions
• Follow infection control protocols and proper body mechanics
• Apply principles of growth and development in patient care
• Assist with activities of daily living, including eating/feeding, providing fluids, bathing, and dressing
• Support restorative care activities, including use and application of assistive devices and range of motion activities
• Utilize basic medical and nursing terminology in daily practice
• Assist and participate in the activities of the treatment team
• Assess each patient’s age-specific needs and provide age-specific direct personal care services
• Demonstrate good observation skills and accurately recall, report, and document a series of events
• Maintain knowledge of personal hygiene and bodily care
• Follow oral and written instructions precisely
• Demonstrate respect and a positive attitude toward patients with a variety of disabilities
• Maintain emotional stability despite emotional and physical pressures
• Adhere to nursing and medical ethics
• Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Workers within six (6) months of employment
