Job Title: Hospitalist
Location: Springfield, Oregon
Schedule: 6:45AM – 4:45PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $216 – $233/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Hospitalist for a temporary assignment in Springfield, Oregon. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Hospitalist:
• Serve as a Neuro Hospitalist MD/DO on a 1.0 FTE basis covering gap in inpatient neurological care
• Work 9-hour day shifts (7am–4pm, fully onsite) and 15-hour night shifts (onsite 4pm–10pm, then telestroke) on a Sunday–Monday schedule
• Report back onsite for stroke alerts during telestroke night shift coverage
• Perform rounding and admissions for an inpatient neurological unit with 36 beds
• Manage an average of 12 patients per day
• Collaborate with NP/PA support during day shifts; work independently (solo) during night shifts
• Demonstrate clinical activity reflective of requested privileges for at least 80 inpatient or outpatient patients within the past 24 months, or demonstrate successful completion of a hospital-affiliated accredited residency, fellowship, or research within the past 24 months
• Provide documentation of clinical experience via residency logs, program director attestation, or quality profiles from current or prior privileged facilities
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and charting
• Maintain a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements (no exemptions)
• Complete 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Comply with all credentialing, privileging, and compliance documentation requirements
