Job Title: Anesthesiologist
Location: Burlingame, California
Schedule: 7:30AM – 5:30PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $325 – $350/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Anesthesiologist for a temporary assignment in Burlingame, California. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Anesthesiologist:
• Provide anesthesiology coverage with a mix of outpatient and inpatient surgical cases
• Manage high acuity (ASA 3+) inpatient cases as a primary responsibility, with outpatient coverage as needed
• Float between sister sites including inpatient centers and ambulatory surgery centers
• Cover both inpatient and outpatient procedures (no cardiac, liver, or neuro cases)
• Work predominantly solo in the operating room, with occasional oversight of CRNAs
• Apply regional anesthesia skills as needed (preferred but not required)
• Care for patient population including adults and adolescents 13 years and older
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and charting
• Maintain Board Certification (or board eligibility if fellowship trained)
• Hold a valid State of California medical license
• Maintain a California DEA license with Schedule 2/2n
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Have at least 2 years of anesthesiology experience with recent experience at tertiary care centers
• Demonstrate recent experience working solo in the operating room
• Demonstrate trauma experience (strongly preferred)
• Be available to commit to a minimum of 2 weeks of coverage per month
• Work shifts typically ranging from 8 to 11 hours in length with no fixed shift requirements
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements including booster (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Provide 2 supervisory references that the facility can contact prior to an offer being made
• Submit current CV (with gaps greater than 6 months explained), provider questionnaire, and license verification
• Be available to provide DOB, SSN, license, contact information, and a signed credentialing form within 72 hours of offer signing to initiate privileging
