Job Title: OT
Location: Hermiston, Oregon
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $55 – $60/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OT for a temporary assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a OT:
• Must have their own car as patient care is provided in patients’ homes
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend rotation
• Must work Thanksgiving and New Year’s holidays
• Serve as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team in developing, administering, and implementing therapeutic services to help patients regain optimal function in meaningful daily activities including self-care, leisure, and work
• Accept responsibility for evaluation of the patient’s functional status and for interpretation and implementation of the physician’s plan of care
• Complete assessment and reassessment and make decisions based upon objective tests and measurements
• Communicate observations, facts, and treatment suggestions as an interdisciplinary team member, individually and through team meetings to ensure coordination of the plan of care
• Provide education and direction to patients and coworkers as appropriate
• Work independently and cooperatively
• Recognize and protect patient rights
• Convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing grief, pain, or trauma
• Complete accurate and concise documentation of all communications, coordination, and treatment activity
• Adapt to emergency situations and remain alert to changes in the patient’s condition
• Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position
• Float to other departments where qualified to perform patient care as needed
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Maintain valid State of Oregon Occupational Therapist license
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and show proof of auto insurance
• Complete CRASE training if travel assignment extends beyond a 6-month period
• Perform other related duties as assigned
