Job Title: Radiologist
Location: Vancouver, Washington
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $107 – $115/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Radiologist for a temporary assignment in Vancouver, Washington. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Radiologist:
• Perform fluoroscopic studies with support from radiologic technologists in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Operate fluoroscopy equipment independently, with radiologic technologists available to assist as needed
• Provide final interpretation and sign reports for all completed studies
• Work under oversight of a supervising radiologist who will conduct random chart audits
• Perform required procedures including Esophagram, Upper GI, Upper GI Small Bowel Follow Through, and Modified Barium Swallow studies
• Perform preferred procedures including Barium Enema Single Contrast and Barium Enema with Air when applicable
• Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) during Modified Barium Swallow studies, with each provider completing their respective portions of the exam
• Independently perform all listed studies following departmental training and proctoring
• Complete training and proctoring program facilitated by radiology physicians to integrate into the department
• Provide documentation of at least 5 procedures for each listed procedure type within the past 24 months for credentialing purposes
• Submit a case list of at least 100 patients representative of requested privileges from the previous 24 months, including diagnosis or procedure, date, and facility where performed
• Maintain current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and charting
• Support departmental transition to a permanent APP staffing model during the locum assignment
• Serve patients ranging from young adults to elderly, with an average of 8–10 patients per day
• Work Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts (0730–1600)
• Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements with no exemptions
