Job Title: L&D
Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Schedule: 10:00PM – 6:30AM x 5
Term: 9-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $81 – $88/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a L&D for a temporary assignment in Providence, Rhode Island. These positions are 9-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a L&D:
• Provide registered nursing care within the Float Pool, floating between Labor & Delivery (LDR) and Antenatal Care Unit (ACU)
• Work night shifts on a 32-hour per week schedule with 8-hour shifts
• Work every weekend as required
• Work all required holidays without exception
• Maintain and provide active RN licensure (state or compact, applicable to RI)
• Maintain current BLS certification (AHA)
• Maintain current NRP certification
• Maintain current fetal monitoring certification (required for LDR)
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for clinical documentation
• Apply minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, or High-Risk OB experience in patient care delivery
• Demonstrate float pool and multi-unit adaptability across assigned units
• Complete required skills checklist prior to submission
• Complete CNE Specialty Competency Exam, Basic EKG Exam, Pharmacology Exam, and Core Competencies upon onboarding
• Comply with all required vaccination requirements including COVID-19 and Influenza vaccines (no exemptions)
• Complete all required onboarding health documentation including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, TB testing, and Fit Test
• Submit two professional references prior to placement
• Complete required orientation packet and compliance documentation upon onboarding
• Adhere to confidentiality agreements and facility policies and procedures
