Job Title: MED SURG PEDS
Location: ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont
Schedule: 4:00PM – 4:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $56 – $60/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED SURG PEDS for a temporary assignment in ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED SURG PEDS:
• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital setting
• Work a flex day/night rotation on 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Care for a primarily adult Med/Surg patient population with occasional pediatric patients
• Serve as Charge RN when needed
• Act as a Preceptor when requested
• Apply the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Address the physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs of patients across the lifespan
• Collaborate with providers, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary support staff to ensure safe, compassionate, high-quality care
• Practice across a broad scope including medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and occasional pediatric care
• Maintain current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License
• Maintain current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Maintain current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Utilize Meditech system for clinical documentation
• Comply with flu vaccination requirement with no exceptions
• Ensure all required credentials are uploaded at least five business days prior to start date
• Provide a minimum of 3 years of recent acute care RN experience
• Start assignments on Wednesdays per facility scheduling requirements
