Location: Stockton, California
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $55 – $60/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PT for a temporary assignment in Stockton, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a PT:
• Hold license as a Physical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work
• Maintain and update PT skills and certifications as necessary
• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record to complete evaluations, reports and discharge summaries for patient files
• Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care
• Communicate with physicians and other persons to ensure quality patient care
• Correspond with co-workers and other offices via phone, fax, and email
• Be responsible for accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, authorizations, etc.
• Ensure patients are comfortable and answer questions when necessary
• Work closely with front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up
• Have computer skills necessary to complete job requirements including typing, Word, Internet, and EMR
• Make independent decisions regarding patient care
• Be involved in the business marketing and referral process when necessary
• Follow HIPAA policy and procedure
• Be familiar with PT billing policy and procedure regarding Medicare, work-comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay
• Be proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for the billing of services
• Be physically mobile, including a combination of stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour work days
• Be able to lift 50 pounds and assist moving patients with mobility restraints, assist patients with transferring, and provide stand-by assistance and recovery with patient walking safety
• Protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with federal and state law and company privacy policies
• Access protected health information only to the extent necessary to complete job duties
• Report concerns regarding patient privacy policies and observed violations to the designated Privacy Officer
• Actively participate in company privacy training
• Communicate privacy policy information to coworkers, students, patients, and others in accordance with company policy
• Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations
