Location: Bethel, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $78 – $84/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PT for a temporary assignment in Bethel, Alaska. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a PT:
• Provide full-time, quality outpatient and inpatient physical therapy care
• Treat all patient age ranges and diagnoses within the physical therapy scope of practice
• Incorporate evidence-based medicine into patient plans of care
• Exemplify professional conduct, patient care ethics, and respect for cultural diversity when rendering patient care
• Modify patient care plans appropriately using age-specific and patient-specific considerations
• Maintain a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Maintain licensure in good standing as a Physical Therapist, or have all appropriate FSBPT paperwork completed to work as a Student Physical Therapist post-graduation while studying for the licensure exam
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Utilize hospital-based Physical Therapy Department equipment including hi-lo table, whirlpool, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound, and electric stimulation modalities
• Provide village-based therapy care, bringing necessary equipment such as theraband and exercise programs for patient treatment
• Read, analyze, and interpret physical therapy periodicals and medical literature
• Compose patient care documentation and medical correspondence
• Communicate effectively with medical staff, peers, administrative personnel, and patients from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Operate a personal computer including basic MS Office programs, email, and internet for accessing medical literature
• Apply mathematical skills to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret data relevant to patient care
• Solve practical problems and adapt to a variety of clinical situations with limited standardization
• Comply with COVID vaccination requirements by providing proof of completed vaccinations
