Job Title: Cardiologist
Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $261 – $281/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:
• Provide outpatient cardiology services in a clinic setting serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• See an average of 14-16 patients per day during scheduled clinic days
• Work 4-5 days per month, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Operate as a solo cardiologist, collaborating with and supported by family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics, general surgery, emergency department, and hospitalist teams
• Provide cardiovascular disease services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested
• Document clinical activity using EPIC EMR; proficient use required
• Maintain current BLS certification (from AHA or American Red Cross)
• Provide documentation of cardiovascular disease services delivered within the previous 24 months, representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested
• Obtain and maintain required state licensure; Alaska license and/or IMLC strongly preferred
• Comply with flu vaccine requirements (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Adhere to all applicable facility policies, procedures, and credentialing requirements
