Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Schedule: 7:00PM – 5:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $211 – $228/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OB for a temporary assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a OB:
• Serve as OB Nocturnist working shifts from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• Oversee all labor and perform deliveries (approximately 3–5 deliveries per day)
• Conduct morning rounds on patients
• Perform gynecologic surgery from ED consults during shift
• Serve as primary physician for all cesarean sections during assigned shift
• Manage approximately 5 GYN emergencies per week
• Provide backup and consultative support to CNMs and Family Practice providers performing OB/GYN
• Collaborate with a team including FP residents, OB/GYN residents, and medical students
• Work within a team-based, collegial environment with strong nursing and ancillary support, including a dedicated CNM on shift
• Manage high-risk obstetric cases including Preeclampsia, Gestational Diabetes, Preterm Labor, and Fetal Anomalies
• Provide Postpartum Care and manage Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
• Offer Family Planning and Contraceptive Counseling
• Perform procedures including C-Sections, Vaginal Deliveries, IUD Insertion/Removal, Pap Smears, Ultrasound (OB and GYN)
• Maintain Board Certification or Board Eligibility (within 2 years)
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Maintain valid state licensure (IMLC accepted)
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirements (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
