Job Title: Primary Care Physician
Location: Florence, Oregon
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 58-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $132 – $142/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Primary Care Physician for a temporary assignment in Florence, Oregon. These positions are 58-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Primary Care Physician:
• Provide Family Medicine Primary Care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Assess newborns immediately after birth when on call in the hospital setting (care/assessment provided only to newborns, not the mother)
• Provide care across a broad patient demographic ranging from newborns to geriatrics
• Manage an average of 20 patients per day in the clinic setting
• Perform rounding and admissions in an inpatient setting (21-bed facility)
• Perform circumcisions as a required procedure (no longer required as of 8/31/26)
• Cover call schedule, most likely one week per month, including weekends, sharing pediatrics and post-delivery call (pediatric call no longer required as of 8/31/26)
• Work 4 hours gratis for 24-hour weekend call coverage
• Operate as a solo provider when necessary
• Utilize Epic EMR system for all clinical documentation (minimum 1 year of Epic experience required)
• Maintain active Oregon state medical license (MD/DO) at time of service
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications (from American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Provide documentation of family medicine services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirement (no exemptions accepted)
