Job Title: Primary Care Physician
Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $132 – $142/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Primary Care Physician for a temporary assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Primary Care Physician:
• Provide outpatient Family Medicine services as an MD in a clinic setting
• See an average of 16-18 patients per day across all age groups
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on an 8-hour daily shift
• Perform desired procedures including skin excisions/punch biopsies, Nexplanon & IUD insertions, cryotherapy, and toenail evulsions when applicable
• Work independently as a solo provider
• Utilize Epic EMR system for all clinical documentation and charting
• Maintain current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements (no exemptions)
• Maintain valid state licensure and meet all credentialing and privileging requirements
• Hold clinic and hospital privileges as required
• No call, rounding, or admissions required
