Job Title: Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP)
Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 6:00AM – 6:00AM x 2
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $739 – $796/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):
• Provide Cardiac Surgery APP (PA/NP) coverage on a weekend schedule (Friday 5pm to Monday 7am)
• Provide 24-hour call coverage with an average callback of approximately 4 hours per day including rounding
• Cover 3 weekends per month as needed
• Support urgent cardiac surgery cases, including transitions from the cath lab to surgery
• Perform vein harvesting procedures
• Manage patient population aged 18 and older across the continuum of care, from ICU to discharge
• Collaborate with the attending surgeon, who is available for backup following consult
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for all clinical documentation
• Maintain active PA licensure and DEA registration
• Hold a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cardiac surgery or comparable specialty
• Maintain board certification as applicable
• Adhere to all credentialing and privileging requirements, including compliance documentation due 2 weeks prior to start
• Submit required credentialing documents within 5 days of signing, including Social Security Number, photo, and PATCH results
• Complete Child Abuse Search and schedule Department of Human Services Fingerprint collection
• Comply with all health requirements including vaccines, physical, and fit testing
