Job Title: Cardiologist
Location: Cottonwood, Arizona
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $278 – $299/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Cottonwood, Arizona. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:
• Provide general cardiology coverage for a cardiovascular institute clinic
• See 18-24 patients per day, with a patient population aged 60 and older
• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures for own patients
• Work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
• Provide support alongside MAs, PCTs, Nurses, and PAs for in-house patient care
• Utilize Cerner EMR system for clinical documentation and charting
• Complete required Cerner training/orientation prior to start date (approximately 4 hours, conducted remotely)
• Maintain Board Certification in Cardiology
• Maintain active Arizona license or IMLC Letter of Qualification
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relational skills with both staff and patients
• Participate in phone or Zoom interviews as part of the onboarding process
• Complete credentialing application within 7 days of receipt
• Ensure case logs and vaccination records are current and up to date
• Complete medical records in a timely manner and respond to deficiency notifications promptly
• Submit timesheets and expenses within 30 days with appropriate documentation
