Job Title: Cardiologist
Location: Cottonwood, Arizona
Schedule: 7:30AM – 5:30PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $278 – $299/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Cottonwood, Arizona. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:
• Provide general cardiology coverage for a cardiovascular institute setting
• See 18-24 patients per day in a clinic environment
• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures for own patients
• Work with a patient population aged 60 and older
• Collaborate with support staff including MAs, PCTs, Nurses, and PAs
• Utilize Cerner EMR system for clinical documentation and charting
• Complete required Cerner training/orientation prior to start date (approximately 4 hours, remote)
• Maintain Board Certification in Cardiology
• Maintain active Arizona license or IMLC Letter of Qualification
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relational skills with staff and patients
• Complete credentialing application within 7 days of receipt
• Maintain current and consistent case logs within the last 12 months
• Submit timesheets and expenses within 30 days
• Complete medical records in a timely manner and respond promptly to deficiency notices
• Adhere to COVID-19 and Flu vaccination requirements or obtain approved exemption
• Work scheduled shifts Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
• Maintain a minimum of 2 years of cardiology experience
