Job Title: Radiation Oncologist
Location: Ephrata, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $308 – $332/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Radiation Oncologist for a temporary assignment in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Radiation Oncologist:
• Participate in normal radiation oncology operations including clinic and inpatient consults
• Participate in tumor board and chart rounds
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with no call required
• Manage treatment volumes averaging 14 patients daily
• Conduct approximately 8 consults per week and 20 follow-up visits per week
• Provide care to adult patient population
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary support team including oncology certified RN, physician access assistant, dietician, social worker, financial counselor, and radiation therapists
• Perform special procedures including lung SBRT
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and charting
• Practice in an off-site hospital-based Comprehensive Cancer Center setting
• Maintain Board Certification (BC or BE) in Radiation Oncology
• Maintain active Pennsylvania license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of experience in Radiation Oncology
