Job Title: Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP)
Location: San Francisco, California
Schedule: 7:00AM – 5:00PM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $153 – $165/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a temporary assignment in San Francisco, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):
• Provide coverage in an outpatient thoracic surgery clinic, primarily serving an oncology patient population
• Work independently in clinic settings with RN support, as well as in shared service with surgeons
• Perform special procedures including drain removals, wound care, and incision care
• Manage an adult patient population with a daily census of 10-12 patients
• Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation
• Work full-time schedule of 4×10-hour shifts per week
• Demonstrate proficiency in outpatient surgical settings
• Maintain valid California state licensure and California DEA with Schedule 2/2n
• Hold current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Maintain board certification in one of the following: A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient surgical oncology or thoracic surgery
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements, including booster (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Be available to submit required credentialing and privileging documentation within 72 hours of offer signing
