Job Title: Electrophysiologist
Location: Flagstaff, Arizona
Schedule: 7:30AM – 5:30PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $371 – $399/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Electrophysiologist for a temporary assignment in Flagstaff, Arizona. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Electrophysiologist:
• Provide cardiac electrophysiology services with a focus on heart rhythm disturbances
• Perform left-sided ablations and epicardial ablations
• Perform EP cases (4-6 per day depending on case length)
• See hospital consults (3-4 per day) in the Cath Lab setting
• See clinic patients (20-22 patients per day) in an in-office clinic setting
• Demonstrate proficiency with the Abbott Ensite-X Mapping system
• Perform Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs)
• Administer and manage moderate sedation independently
• Document patient care using the Cerner EMR system
• Maintain active Arizona medical license and DEA registration
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Demonstrate a minimum of 100 EP cases in the last 2 years via case logs, with emphasis on ablations
• Complete required Cerner online training (4-hour Learning Journey) prior to first day
• Complete required compliance modules within 30 days of privileges being granted and annually thereafter
• Maintain up-to-date vaccinations including Flu, TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, and COVID (declinations where allowed)
• Complete medical records in a timely manner as required by the HIM team
• Adhere to all credentialing and compliance requirements throughout the duration of the assignment
