Job Title: Hospitalist
Location: Springfield, Oregon
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $170 – $183/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Hospitalist for a temporary assignment in Springfield, Oregon. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Hospitalist:
• Provide inpatient hospital medicine services as a Hospitalist in an inpatient setting
• Perform rounding, admissions, and cross-cover duties (nocturnists handle cross-cover)
• Manage floor patients only; no ICU management or rounding required
• Care exclusively for adult patient populations
• Manage an average of 15 patients per day as a rounder or 7 patients per day as an admitter
• Collaborate with the Intensivist team, who manage all in-house codes and procedures as needed
• Work within a Level 2 Trauma Center environment with full subspecialty support available
• Defer lines, vents, and intubations to the Intensivist team
• Defer procedures to Interventional Radiology or the Intensivist group as appropriate
• Utilize Epic EMR system proficiently for all clinical documentation
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements (no exemptions)
• Demonstrate provision of inpatient or outpatient services for at least 80 patients in the past 24 months or successful completion of an accredited residency, fellowship, or research within the past 24 months
• Provide quality profiles or residency documentation confirming clinical activity in the last 24 months
• Maintain a valid Oregon medical license or provide a reasonable estimated timeline for licensure
• Complete 8 hours of non-billable orientation as required
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and credentialing requirements
