Job Title: Anesthesiologist
Location: Burlingame, California
Schedule: 7:30AM – 5:30PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $325 – $350/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Anesthesiologist for a temporary assignment in Burlingame, California. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Anesthesiologist:
• Provide anesthesiology coverage in hospital OR settings, primarily handling general cases with occasional regional cases
• Demonstrate recent experience (last 2-3+ years) with a mix of outpatient and inpatient surgical cases
• Work with high acuity (ASA 3+) inpatient cases as well as outpatient/ambulatory surgery center cases
• Float between sister sites, covering both high acuity inpatient centers and ambulatory surgery centers
• Work predominantly solo in the operating room, with occasional oversight of CRNAs
• Perform regional anesthesia procedures as needed (preferred skill)
• Care for patient population including adults and adolescents 13 years and older, including geriatric patients
• Maintain Board Certification (or board eligibility if fellowship trained)
• Hold a valid State of California medical license and CA DEA with Schedule 2/2n
• Maintain current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of anesthesiology experience, with recent experience at tertiary care centers
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and charting
• Be available to work a minimum of 2 weeks per month, with full-time availability preferred
• Work shifts typically ranging from 8-11 hours in length, with no fixed shift requirements
• Apply experience with trauma cases (strongly preferred)
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirements including booster (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Complete credentialing and privileging process, including timely submission of required documentation within 72 hours of offer signing
