Job Title: Ambulatory Care
Location: State College, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $55 – $60/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Ambulatory Care for a temporary assignment in State College, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Ambulatory Care:
• Provide professional nursing care to patients following established standards, practices, and healthcare techniques
• Demonstrate competence in making professional judgments pertaining to patient care
• Assist providers in patient care and education
• Actively participate as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care
• Apply knowledge of practical nursing principles and skills to provide quality patient care and treatment, including examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures, medication effects on patients, and patient education principles
• Recognize and adhere to common safety hazards and precautions
• Utilize knowledge of office procedures and medical terminology
• Apply basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
• Communicate clearly and effectively, and read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions from the physician
• React calmly and effectively during emergency situations
• Identify and analyze problems, prioritize, make confident quick decisions, and recommend effective solutions
• Administer a variety of medications and treatments and utilize various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures
• Maintain a valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per American Heart Association standards, renewing every two years
