Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Schedule: 7:00AM – 5:00PM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $59 – $63/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Tuba City, Arizona. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a OR:
• Provide care for the Perioperative Patient utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, formulation of nursing diagnoses, planning interventions, and evaluation of interventions per patient outcomes
• Circulate in all specialty areas including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental
• Obtain and develop Scrubbing experience as highly encouraged
• Work varied and odd hours when on call and prepare for emergency cases on very short notice
• Maintain a valid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice nursing
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Maintain current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association within six (6) months of hire
• Complete NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six (6) months of hire
• Obtain Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification by the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI) within one (1) year of hire
• Complete Trauma Nurse Core Courses (TNCC) within two (2) years of hire
• Hold an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Possess a minimum of two (2) years of clinical nurse and/or operating room practical experience
