Job Title: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (UCNP)
Location: Poughkeepsie, New York
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $117 – $126/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (UCNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Poughkeepsie, New York. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (UCNP):
• Local candidates highly preferred
• Must attend mandatory onsite EPIC training, which may not coincide with first few shifts; out-of-town providers should be prepared to fly in/out for this
• Must complete mandatory 2 days of shadowing another provider before first shift worked
• Must be able to read X-rays, perform sutures, and conduct EKGs
• Minimum 2 years Urgent Care experience or 1 year Emergency Room experience required; no exceptions
• Providers with both a NY and CT license are preferred
• Practice setting is an Urgent Care clinic seeing all age groups (adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics)
• Utilize EPIC EMR/charting system for documentation
• Average daily census of 25-40 patients
• Perform all required urgent care testing, diagnosis, suturing, and splinting procedures
• Must maintain board certification (required), valid state licensure, and active DEA registration
• Must maintain current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Must float between multiple locations in NY (Fishkill, Carmel, Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie, LaGrangeville, Kingston) and CT (North Stamford, Norwalk, Fairfield, Danbury, Brookfield)
• Must complete and submit a skills checklist
