Job Title: Home Health
Location: Bethel, Alaska
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $44 – $47/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Home Health for a temporary assignment in Bethel, Alaska. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Home Health:
• Provide quality nursing care to all patients while serving as a viable member of the nursing staff within scope of practice
• Deliver patient care with respect for patient rights and dignity
• Adapt duties and responsibilities as needed based on assigned area within Long Term Care setting
• Maintain current licensure in good standing as an LPN in the State of Alaska
• Maintain current CPR certification (BCLS) and BLS certification
• Complete and maintain required competencies for the position
• Obtain and maintain IV certification
• Operate office machines including multi-line telephone, computer, and fax machine
• Utilize medical equipment such as Dynamap, thermometers, Datascope, and Pulse Oximetry
• Read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
• Write reports and business correspondence as required
• Communicate effectively with physicians and other medical staff as part of a collaborative team
• Participate in special committees as appropriate and serve as a professional representative at all times
• Present information effectively and respond to questions from physicians, medical staff, managers, and the general public
• Communicate effectively with individuals from different cultural backgrounds, including those who may not speak English
• Apply mathematical skills including computing rates, ratios, and percentages as needed for patient care
• Solve practical problems and interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Provide proof of completed COVID vaccinations
