Job Title: Cardiologist
Location: Cottonwood, Arizona
Schedule: 7:30AM – 5:30PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $278 – $299/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Cottonwood, Arizona. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:
• Provide general cardiology coverage for a cardiovascular institute clinic setting
• See approximately 18-24 patients per day, with a patient population of 60+
• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures for own patients as needed
• Utilize Cerner EMR system for clinical documentation and charting
• Work scheduled shifts of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
• Work assigned coverage dates including weekdays and select weekend shifts (Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)
• Collaborate and support a multidisciplinary team including MAs, PCTs, Nurses, and PAs
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relational skills when working with staff and patients
• Maintain board certification in Cardiology
• Maintain active Arizona license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Complete required Cerner training/orientation (approximately 4 hours, remote) prior to start date
• Complete credentialing application within 7 days of receipt
• Submit timesheets and expenses within 30 days
• Maintain up-to-date case logs with consistent activity within the last 12 months
• Complete medical records in a timely manner and respond promptly to deficiency notifications
• Adhere to all compliance, vaccination, and documentation requirements
