Job Title: PHARM
Location: Lancaster, Ohio
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $81 – $88/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PHARM for a temporary assignment in Lancaster, Ohio. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a PHARM:
• Must hold a valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy
• Work a 7-days on/7-days off schedule, with work weeks running from Thursday night to Thursday morning
• On-week hours are 2000–0730, operating as the sole Pharmacist from 1130–0600 with CPhT support throughout the night
• Review, interpret, process, validate, and/or dispense medication orders and prescriptions accurately
• Monitor and manage patient medication therapy to ensure therapeutic appropriateness and effectiveness of drug regimens, including appropriateness to the age of the individual patient
• Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, and records consistent with regulations and standards governing the practice of pharmacy
• Communicate drug information to patients, family members, and other health care providers
• Participate in drug therapy management of medical emergencies by responding to emergency calls, assisting in medication preparation, providing drug information, and ensuring adequate medication supplies
• Coordinate day-to-day pharmacy technician activities to meet the needs of patients, the organization, and the department
• Demonstrate commitment to improving individual performance and contributing to team accomplishments and quality improvement initiatives
• Create and maintain a safe and clean work environment and report unsafe conditions to appropriate individuals
• Comply with established policies, procedures, work instructions, and guidelines
• Complete all mandatory education and participate in learning events and opportunities to enhance on-the-job performance
• Utilize analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills to prioritize and manage responsibilities effectively
