Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $120 – $130/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Physician Assistant (PA) for a locum tenens assignment in Minneapolis, Minnesota. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Physician Assistant (PA):
• Provide inpatient Hematology/Oncology APP services as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Work day shift hours, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Manage a patient load of 11–16 patients per day across all age groups
• Work comfortably in an unsupervised setting with solid tumor patients
• Demonstrate experience with benign and malignant hematology patients (required)
• Support inpatient hematology and/or oncology coverage as needed
• Maintain working knowledge of bone marrow practices
• Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation and charting
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Maintain valid MN state licensure (IMLC eligible candidates considered for licensing support)
• Maintain active Board Certification as a PA or APP
• Comply with credentialing, privileging, and compliance documentation requirements
• Complete fingerprinting requirements prior to privileges being granted
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and patient care delivery standards
