Job Title: Resource Nurse
Location: Fresno, California
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $60 – $65/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Resource Nurse for a temporary assignment in Fresno, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Resource Nurse:
• Float between all three facilities for any of the following levels of care: Telemetry, Med/Surg, and ED Inpatient Holds
• Receive daily schedule assignment indicating facility and level of care
• Complete orientation consisting of 4 shifts total across multiple facilities and care settings
• Utilize EPIC system for accurate and timely documentation
• Practice team nursing with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Provide direct patient care using evidence-based practices
• Complete thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans to support optimal patient recovery
• Coordinate and communicate with physicians, ancillary staff, and families to ensure continuity and clarity throughout each patient’s stay
• Uphold all safety and regulatory standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for telemetry patients in the ED using evidence-based nursing practices
• Assist in transferring patients to inpatient units, helping ensure safe and efficient transitions
• Actively contribute to a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and accountability
• Maintain a current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Provide 2 professional references as required for submission
