Job Title: Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP)
Location: Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts
Schedule: 7:30AM – 5:30PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $91 – $98/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) for a locum tenens assignment in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP):
• Hold active FNP or AGACNP licensure with the ability to see and treat pediatric patients
• Maintain an active Massachusetts (MA) license
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Have a minimum of 2 years of emergency department (ED) experience (urgent care experience does not qualify)
• Work full-time, 40 hours per week across four 10-hour shifts
• Be available for day, night, and weekend shifts (8:00 AM–6:00 PM or 12:00 PM–10:00 PM)
• Complete 8 hours of non-billable orientation prior to start
• Manage an average census of 10 patients per shift, primarily lower-acuity and fast-track patients
• Work independently or alongside a physician depending on patient acuity level
• Manage own patient panel with physician available for consultation at all times
• Perform history and physical examinations
• Order diagnostics and develop treatment plans
• Manage patient discharges
• Perform suturing and laceration repair
• Perform incision and drainage procedures
• Perform splinting and fracture management
• Perform joint reductions
• Perform intubations
• Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation
• Provide name and NPI number for name clearance prior to placement
• Treat both adult and pediatric patient populations
