Job Title: MED-SURG/ONCOLOGY
Location: Laramie, Wyoming
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $73 – $78/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG/ONCOLOGY for a temporary assignment in Laramie, Wyoming. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG/ONCOLOGY:
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within scope of practice
• Provide education to patients according to their individual needs
• Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders
• Coordinate the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel
• Ensure all care, treatment, and services provided are within current Federal, State, Local Standards, Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines
• Maintain current, valid RN license in good standing with the Board of Nursing
• Maintain current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Obtain and maintain current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one (1) year of hire
• Complete annual required continuing education units (CEUs)
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills including friendliness, tact, patience, empathy, and a professional attitude
• Communicate effectively with staff, managers, and the general public both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrate effective listening skills
• Apply excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to establish priorities effectively
• Utilize exceptional problem-solving skills
• Work effectively without immediate supervision
• Learn and utilize new computer software programs as required
• Recognize and protect confidential information
• Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position
