Job Title: ER MED-SURG
Location: Washington, Iowa
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $59 – $63/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ER MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Washington, Iowa. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ER MED-SURG:
• Provide registered nursing care in the Emergency Room setting
• Work weeknight shifts from 5PM to 5AM
• Rotate every 4th weekend as part of the scheduling requirement
• Deliver timely and effective emergency patient assessments and interventions
• Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical presentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
• Monitor and document patient condition changes and respond appropriately
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation and medical records
• Adhere to all infection control, safety, and compliance policies and procedures
• Maintain current RN licensure and required certifications
• Participate in required orientation, training, and competency evaluations
