Job Title: NICU
Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 9-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $75 – $81/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a NICU for a temporary assignment in Providence, Rhode Island. These positions are 9-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a NICU:
• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Work weeknights and weekends, 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts; flex position with shifts predominantly nights
• Work required holidays including Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day
• Maintain an active RN license (or compact license, if applicable)
• Maintain current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Maintain current NRP certification
• Maintain STABLE certification (preferred)
• Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation
• Apply a minimum of 1–2 years of recent NICU experience (Level II–III)
• Provide care for ventilator-dependent and high-acuity neonates (preferred)
• Comply with all vaccination requirements including flu and COVID-19 vaccines (no exemptions)
• Complete required credentialing and onboarding documentation including skills checklist, specialty competency exam, basic EKG exam, pharmacology exam, and core competencies
• Submit required professional references prior to assignment start
• Comply with fingerprinting, background check, and occupational health clearance requirements
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and confidentiality agreements
