Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
Location: Flagstaff, Arizona
Schedule: 6:00AM – 6:00AM x 1
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $120 – $130/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Flagstaff, Arizona. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP):
• Provide in-house coverage for Pediatrics and PICU departments serving patients aged 0–18 years
• Manage a patient census of 7–15 patients per day
• Perform advanced procedures including intubations, central lines, arterial lines, and lumbar punctures (LPs)
• Provide care for pediatric trauma patients, including neurosurgery cases, within an adult Level I Trauma Center
• Utilize Cerner EMR system for clinical documentation
• Complete Cerner online 4-hour Learning Journey training prior to first day
• Complete required compliance modules within 30 days of privileges being granted, and annually thereafter
• Maintain active AZ DEA registration for the duration of the assignment
• Maintain current and up-to-date vaccinations including Flu, TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, and COVID (declinations allowed where applicable)
• Submit timesheets and expense reports within 30 days
• Complete medical records in a timely manner as required by the HIM team
• Maintain valid state licensure prior to start date
• Provide case logs and vaccination records upfront as part of the credentialing process
• Participate in FPPE process following 120-day temporary privilege status
