Job Title: ICU Medical/Surgical
Location: Clarkston, Washington
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $64 – $69/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ICU Medical/Surgical for a temporary assignment in Clarkston, Washington. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ICU Medical/Surgical:
• Provide RN care in ICU/PCU (NOC shift) with willingness to float to MSU as needed
• Maintain an ACTIVE WA State or Multi-State RN license
• Identify patient and significant others’ needs for patient education and provide education utilizing appropriate modalities
• Identify and provide for patient safety through preventative measures (e.g., side rails, restraints, safe use of equipment) following restraint policy correctly, evaluating and documenting appropriately
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation of all equipment in PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg areas
• Utilize troubleshooting techniques and follow procedures for repair of essential equipment; access equipment manuals as needed
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures using proper procedures and documentation
• Utilize standard precautions at all times
• Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and patient responses during assigned shift
• Document charges accurately and ensure accuracy of physician orders, completing them in a timely manner
• Complete 24-hour check of orders as applicable to assigned shift
• Provide complete and accurate change-of-shift reports to oncoming staff
• Communicate with other departments completely and accurately
• Report critical lab values to the physician in a timely manner according to policy
• Maintain and restock emergency carts, room supplies, and general supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned
