Job Title: Oncology Nurse Practitioner
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $98 – $105/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Oncology Nurse Practitioner:
• Provide ongoing inpatient coverage with night shifts (1800–0700) in a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) / Hematology & Cellular Therapy setting
• Perform bone marrow biopsies
• Assist with stem cell infusions and transfusions
• Conduct patient admissions, daily rounding, and discharge planning
• Provide patient and family education related to transplant and cellular therapy
• Manage transplant and cellular therapy complications including GVHD, CRS, and ICANS
• Utilize Epic EMR/charting system for all clinical documentation
• Work collaboratively with attending physicians as support staff
• Manage an average daily census of 8–12 adult patients
• Maintain active Missouri (MO) state licensure
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Hold required Board Certification
• Maintain 1.5–2 years of inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant APP experience
• Submit availability for January–March as the client schedules 3 months in advance
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirement (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ensure CV is submitted in mm/yy–mm/yy format with department and role specified
• Provide explanations for any work history gaps exceeding 30 days
