Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Fairfield, Iowa
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $62 – $67/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Fairfield, Iowa. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Plan and provide total patient care through the use of the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs
• Direct and guide patient teaching activities
• Oversee and guide activities of ancillary personnel
• Maintain standards of professional nursing
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Maintain current Iowa RN license
• Provide two recent employment references
• Comply with immunization requirements including MMR, Varicella, Polio, Hepatitis B, TDaP, and Flu vaccination during Flu Season
• Maintain negative 2-step Mantoux or QuantiFERON Gold TB test results within required timeframe
• Maintain valid physical exam documentation within required timeframe
• Pass 10-panel drug screen within required timeframe
• Complete Respiratory Fit Test within required timeframe
• Maintain clear criminal background check
• Complete Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates for Child Abuse and Dependent Adult Abuse
• Complete required CareLearning education modules prior to start date
• Work 12-hour night shifts (6:00pm – 6:30am)
