Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $68 – $74/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Warwick, Rhode Island. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Provide registered nursing care in a Med Surg Float Pool setting
• Work day shift, 36 hours per week (0.9 FTE)
• Float between units as required within the float pool assignment
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for clinical documentation
• Maintain valid RN state licensure and ensure Nursys verification compliance
• Complete required onboarding credentials including CNE Specialty Competency Exam, Basic EKG Exam, Pharmacology Exam, and Core Competencies
• Complete CNE Skills Checklist prior to submission
• Comply with vaccination requirements including COVID-19 and Influenza vaccines
• Maintain up-to-date health records including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, TB testing (2-Step PPD or IGRA), and Fit Testing
• Complete RI CNE Fingerprinting as required for RN licensure
• Provide 2 professional references as part of the submission process
• Complete CNE First Look orientation packet and non-employee confidentiality agreement
• Comply with criminal background check requirements
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and dress code standards
• Maintain BSN credential documentation as required
